SAVE MONTGOMERY CEMETERY IN NORRISTOWN, PA

---

The Historical Society of Montgomery County has recently purchased the cemetery in Norristown. The last resting place of such notables as Generals Winfield Scott Hancock, Samuel Zook, John Hartranft. This cemetery is in dire need of repair and restoration. There is also a Civil War Era Gatehouse that is in disrepair. The Delaware Valley CWRT is selling the bricks from General Winfield Scott Hancock's father's house. This is the house that Hancock went to recover after his wounding at Gettysburg. For a donation of $25.00 you can own a brick or donate it to the wall of support which will be built near the gatehouse. Due to the delicate nature of the bricks, they must be picked up in person.

You can take part in this worthwhile cause by making a contribution of $25.00 or more to the Montgomery County Historical Society and mail care of the Delaware Valley CWRT, P.O. Box 63006, Philadelphia, Pa. 19114-0806. For further information contact Mike Tolle at 610-272-0297.
