Bhole Baba Ki-Jai!
It has been almost a full year since I last created any real updates to my website and that will soon change.  Baba has led me on quite a wild journey since the summer of '98, some of which I'd like to share.
First a little background:  '94-'95 was devastating to me.  I was totally lost and created a series of experiences that dumped me at absolute bottom.  My only blessings were that my parents wouldn't let me go homeless and my cat, manifestation of God that he is, wouldn't allow me to give up hope.  [Quick side note: over one three week period in July '94, I unexpectedly lost my job, my girlfriend and my apartment.  As I lay devasted on my couch, Phee (my cat) jumped on my lap and wrapped his front legs around my belly and purred until I stopped sobbing.  This hug probably saved my life.  Never underestimate the power of a good hug!]
In late '95 I had a daydream vision that there was one copy left of a book I had seen at a local spiritual bookstore, and I had to get it.  It was Bob Frissel's first book, and I had the manager of the store hunt through the shelves for it though he knew it was sold out.  Sure enough there was a copy hidden in the wrong location....  It was in that book (Nothing in This Book is True) that I first saw Baba.  As I looked into his eyes and asked if what I was reading were true, His expression changed and He smiled for me!  That incident changed my attitude and direction forever.
I stopped worrying about my life and focused on developing personal mastery.  I've had many many teachers; most would say too many.  I do have a unique gift though that requires me to learn what I can from just about anyone.  I have studied dozens of variations of holistic healing and creative visualization, and have spent time with saints and masters from various yoga paths and some intense meditation techniques.  I have become well acquainted with the scientific (left-brain) aspect of spirituality, learning what I could of sacred geometry and hyper-dimensional physics.  Not that I got caught-up in them, and for me it is important to satisy the intellectual curiousity that arises out of spiritual experiences.
In mid '98 my four years of learning and teaching culminated in a prosperity class I named "Conscious Abundance" which integrated the technologies of positive affirmations, creative visualization, intuition and quantum physics.  Essentially what I was doing was taking students to casinos and teaching them how to "tune in" and piggyback the universe to win at games.  It works, and now I see that Baba saw that projection of His disciple as too narrow a benefit of his love.  I had to expand the game of life I was playing.
After teaching the class a half-dozen times I had people telling me to get into the stock market.  Out of nowhere, over the course of two weeks, six people who were not acquainted with each other told me that.  I always take that as a sign, so I went with it.  I studied technical analysis on my own and after a couple of months started looking for a way in.   After denying two offers that didn't suit me, an opportunity came up to daytrade for a start-up firm.
It took me several months to integrate my metaphysical knowledge into trading, and that continues.  The recent beauty of this path follows:
I spent some time this summer asking Baba to provide a spiritual teacher in-body.  While Baba continues to guide of course, my mind sometimes balks at integrating His messages. [three summers ago I demanded of Him that He stop communicating only through the internal; anything "important" now comes through the external in the form of leela, synchronicity or physical visions.]  In early August I came accross a Kriya initiation through the direct family lineage of Lahiri Mahasaya.  During the Kriya training, another student asked Shibendu Lahiri, "How do we balance our mundane life with our spiritual practice?"  Shibendu gazed into my eyes and replied, "First, do not take a job that will give you a lot of money one month and none the next.  You need stability.  Take a job that will give steady income."  Now while daytrading can be lucrative, it certainly isn't steady money.  I melted under Shibenduji's gaze.  Shortly after I was told that I had to get more licenses as I would be taking over the office I am at and would be put on salary!
Sitting here at my computer I am amazed at the changes I've gone through and the outer reflection of it.  I am even more amazed at the changes I've enjoyed in the past four years since I first met Babaji through His picture.  I am now in a position to affect positive change in the great financial cauldron.  Can't wait to see what that looks like :-)
The point:  it was important for me to take a break from working on my website (it is much larger than this Babaji area and gets ~5,000 hits/month) so that I could focus on the path Baba had opened for me.  I've made it.  In another month I'll have several hours each week to devote to spreading the Light through the web and I'm very excited and have much support.  By December I'll have the extra cash I need to secure a domain name and 50meg server space.  By the new year the website will be moved (old urls will still work for 6 months or so) and I will create the site as Baba guides me, which of course includes your input.

About the painting:
Ryan Grimmett is a great artist and friend of mine who had an incredibly intense experience with Baba two summers ago.  This is his second piece and is 3'x3'(~1mx1m).  We have chosen to sell his paintings through this website, with 50% to be tithed at my discretion to Haidakhan-related organizations.  Ryan may have prints available.  I'll put up more information at the new website.
