This murti of the Divine Mother was activated by Shri Muniraji during his visit to the United States in 1990.  Haidakhandi Ma is life size, standing about 5 feet tall (~1m60).  Each evening she bathed and dressed for bed and each morning she is clothed and given headdress, jewelry, perfume and other offerings of devotion.

Sensitives can feel her aliveness; we can feel her gaze during Aarti (worship service).  Once while at HUA I felt that mother was calling me.  When I approached the temple, the front door swung open for me.  The only one around was Mother.  Another time during Aarti I looked up from the book of chants to see her wink at me with her right eye.  Om Namaha Shivaya.  The blessing is for everyone.

These paducas were worn by Babaji and now reside next to mother in the Temple at HUA.

Along with the murti, puja is performed to these paducas, Ganesha, Hanuman and a shivalingam each day at sunrise and sunset.

Sunset overlooking the valley, view from Mother's temple.  HUA is located in Crestone/Baca Grande in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range.  At 8,500 feet (~2,750m) elevation, the ashram enjoys over 300 days of clear blue skies per year.

While performing the duties of assistant Pujari during Muniraji's visit, I woke up each morning at 3:30am to prepare the temple.  The sky was so clear that I didn't need a flashlight; the Milky Way literally appeared as a splash of neon white accross the center of the sky.
