In 1985, when Shastriji was here, he chose the exact location for the Temple and told us to put quartz crystal and rose quartz in the ground where the altar would be built above it.  This was done in the fall of 1985 for purification and preparation purposes.  By Fall Navaratri of 1988, a mandir was built over this spot.  Our Divine Mother murti, Shri Rajeshwari (Queen of Queens), was blessed by Shri Muniraji and Shri Shastriji during the Navaratri, then was carried home by hand by Ellen Levand (now Samaj President), at Shri Muniraji's request.  She arrived here on November 11, 1988 (11-11-88), and the daily pujas have continued on ever since.  She has been joined by Shri Hanumanji, who was blessed and given life in 1989 at the Kumbha Mela in Allahabad; Shri Maha Kalbairav; Shiva Lingam, Ganesh, Nataraj and photos of Shri Maha Prabhuji (Babaji). 

  Haidakhandi Karma Yoga and Peace Center is the name of our Ashram. We host events, organize seminars and have a membership. 

  Universal Peace Temple (Vishwa Shanti Mandir) is the name of the non-profit corporation that processes donations used to: 

•   perform the daily prayers and ceremonies;
•   build and maintain the ashram as a place for people to get together in spiritual community;
•   train others in the spiritual practices taught by Shri Babaji. 

• Acknowledge and promote the essential unity of all people, nations and religions;
• Maintain & exemplify  spiritual traditions of India as taught by Haidakhan Baba;
• Promote the unity of community taught by Haidakhan Baba;
• Promote inter-cultural education by the establishment of a place of learning and such research and seminars as may promote the purposes of the corporation; and
• Interact with other similarly situated organizations for the promotion of the purposes of the corporation.

  Jai Vishwa Gifts is the gift shop/bookstore.  This aspect sells items related to spiritual life, especially those that are in alignment with Shri Babaji's teachings. 

  Dhyana Dhuni: named by Shri Muniraji, it means "Meditation place for fire ceremony".  Since this building was constructed in 1991, it has provided a place to perform the sacred fire ceremony weekly, no matter what the weather.  The Fire Ceremony has brought great blessings to the ashram. We are now doing some fund-raising to add more windows and more ventilation to the building to ease the smoke problem.

  This is an early summer shot when everything is green and blooming.  Our soil is so rich that the place becomes lush and green from early spring to fall.  We grow vegetables and flowers in the circle around the fountain. There is a much larger garden down below the Dhyana Dhuni.

  Universal Peace Temple: constructed in 1992.
  This building is 24' wide and 54' long.  Inside is the sanctuary, which was first completed in 1988, then surrounded by the rest of the building and the kirtan hall. Completion of this building took place in 1997, in preparation for Shri Muniraji's visit.  This is where the morning and evening Arati ceremonies take place each and every day.
