I've gathered together a few resources which Irish-born adoptees may find useful in their search along with a general link to all things Irish (More About Ireland).

Please note: if you are looking for information on adopting from Ireland and are based in the U.S., you should be aware that it is no longer legal to 'import' Irish children to the U.S. for adoption. Adopting in Ireland is based upon strict residency requirements and there are now fewer than 100 children available in-country annually. This website is NOT for that purpose, although I highly recommend that any prospective adopting parent read this document and this to get an accurate, broad picture of intercountry adoption from the perspective of one who has lived it for nearly fifty years.

A great debt of thanks is owed to Marie Heshka, who is responsible for compiling many of the resources listed here as well.
