ableize Disabilities Resources Directory at http://www.ableize.com "...A disability directory of UK adult and children's disability services. Includes advice and information, access, education, recreation and sports, plus the arts detailed information on specific disabilities..."

Access-Ability at http://www.access-ability.co.uk is an excellent British site with a wide range of resources constantly updated.

The A-Med Health Care Center Online at http://www.a-med.com/resources.htm is part of their commercial health care equipment site, but it offers some good links.

The Medical and Disability page at Big Eye has a lot of good resources.

The Boulevard at http://www.blvd.com is also a commercial site, but also one wih useful information and direct links to a large number of disability services and product companies.

Canine Companions for Independence at http://www.caninecompanions.org is the new website for "helping dogs for disabilities other than the blind".

Coast to Coast Resourcesat http://www.coast-resources.com is a commercial site with information on a range of products and services.

Cornucopia Of Disability Information at http://codi.buffalo.edu is just that with solid resources as befitting a university maintained site (University of Buffalo, New York).

The Disability Associates Home page at http://www.ssaconsultants.com is an interesting site with information on Social Security Disability and how to test your eligibility - and more importantly, how to start your own business as a paid consultant advising others.

Disability Central is a general gathering and resource site that includes @ctive Teen Magazine

Esmerel's Collection of Disability Resources at http://www.esmerel.org is a superb and well-organized site.

European Organisation of Family Health Research at http://www.eofhr.org "...represents over 100 non-governmental and other not-for-profit organisations interested in protection the health of all europeans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. .."

Family Friendly Fun and Life Resources at http://www.family-friendly-fun.com is a "dynamic resource for information that enhances the quality and enjoyment of special needs family life.". A wide-ranging site welcoming site submissions.

Family Village which is "a global community that integrates information, resources, and communication opportunities on the Internet for persons with mental retardation and other disabilities, their families, and those that provide them services and supports." With a card catalog of conditions, there is an incredible wealth of resources here.

The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) at http://janweb.icdi.wvu.edu/links is an international toll-free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations and the employability of people with functional limitations. But beyond that, it also provides links to organizations and resources for a lot of specific medical conditions

Liberty Resources at http://www.libertyresources.org/ may be a Philadelphia based and oriented site, but there are loads of resources there useful regardless of locale.

The LOEW-DOWN at http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4503 has as its purpose "...to provide information on the ADA, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and other general information of interest to the handicapped/disabled, their caregivers, families and friends."

Mobility-Advisor.com at http://www.mobility-advisor.com Great site that provides an "...Educational resource with articles on wheelchairs, scooters, accessories, wheel chair sports, disabled travel, transportation, and assistive technology to enhance the lives of individuals of all ages who need mobility assistance...."

The National Organization on Disability at http://www.nod.org "...promotes the full and equal participation of America's 54 million men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life..."

WCD Foundation for Education, Inc. at http://www.wcdfoundation.org An excellent new site: "Our mission is to provide support to children and adults with disabilities and their families... Brian Newton's Wheel About (new address)organization at http://www.optushome.com.au/wheelabout was formed to "further the ambitions and lifestyles of people with severe physical disabilities through advocacy, advice and assistance". This is a neat site put up by someone who knows well the obstacles facing people with disabilities.
