What a game...a little patience, a lot of luck and a win over the ever popular KnifeFighter for a point against Clan Red Triad. This fight was right on my doorstep for most of the game. After tricking early with HW, 19,19 - 20,19 - 21,20 and 22,20, I came out of the trick in apparently good shape. That is until I built and moved only to lose all my northbound ships to KnifeFighter. From there on, he brought the fight right to me and it was all I could do to defend. I thought sure that I would lose at this point. But twice, on 20,20 and later on 21,20, he brought more ships than I could handle and I lucked out, getting the sweepers and the minefields saved the planets. I held on matching build and movement as best as possible, while finishing colonization and terraforming in the south as I could, even as I slowly built tech. That was eventually the winning strategy as KnifeFighter kept overbuilding to attack I finally got the BR advantage. Knife launched his final attack, losing to my now superior strength. From there, I pressed outward, slowly but surely nuking the northern planets held by Knife and seeking out his HW. Great Game KnifeFighter
