OLD BALDY CIVIL WAR ROUND TABLE (OBCWRT) meets the second Thursday of each month to discuss topics related to America's Civil War history. The Round Table also encourages and supports local and national Civil War preservation programs.

MEETINGS
OBCWRT meets in The Civil War Library and Museum, located at 1805 Pine Street. Members gather at 7:45 PM on the second Thursday of each month. Join us for dinner with the speaker at 5:45 pm.
NEWSLETTER
Current members receive the Round Table's monthly newsletter containing meeting information and timely news from other Round Tables. Members are welcome to submit articles for inclusion in the newsletter.
TOURS
OBCWRT conducts field trips each year to significant Civil War sites. Many of the tours are conducted by noted historians to give our members an in depth coverage of these places which is not always available to the general public.Our tours in the past have included:
- The Maryland Campaign-- hosted by Harpers Ferry Park historian Dennis Frye
- The Shenandoah Valley Campaign
- Antietam National Battlefield
- Gettysburg National Military Park
- Fredricksburg/Spotsylvania National Military Park
SEMINARS
In conjunction with neighboring Civil War round tables, OBCWRT sponsors the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Civil War Round Tables each year. Programs presented by members of local round tables, along with nationally known experts on the war, make up this day long event. The day ends with a banquet dinner featuring a well known speaker.

- Robert K. Krick-- author and Chief Historian of Fredricksburg/Spotsylvania National
Historic Site
- Alan Nolan-- Author of The Iron Brigade
- Archie McDonald-- noted authority of Civil War period music and author of Make Me a Map of the Valley
- Dennis Frye-- author and former Chief Historian of Harpers Ferry National Military Park
