Akustico 2002     The Akustico 2002 shares the same body style as the Examico 4001. No shifter or hand brake but this model sports A button on the steering wheel. As you might guess this button when pressed blows the cars horn. Not an ordinary horn, the Akustico's horn is key wound.     The Green Akustico pictured here, from my personal collection is shown in its most often found state, with no windshield. The windshields could easily be removed and were often lost. An original windshield greatly increases the value of the toy.     The Akustico has two seperate winding mechenisms, One to drive the auto and the other, found under the car, to sound the horn. Akustico 2002 Bottom Plate Showing the horn winder (under 2002).     I bought this Schuco on an eBay "Buy It Now" auction simply entittled "BMW 2002" on 10/08/01 for $32.00 plus $5.50 postage. No photo, and the discription only stated "Good condition". I was sure I would get A piece of junk but I was quite happy I took the chance when I received this beautiful Schuco. Even without its windshield I placed its value at the time in the $150.00 to $200.00 range.
