Varianto Bus 3044     The 3044 Bus is one of my favorite Variantos. Like the other Variantos the Bus has three foward speeds, Its lever located on the top of the bus in the rear, and A steering mechinism.     This bus was made in several variations, with many different model numbers. These buses are easily identified by A original front grill incorperating the head lights whos tear drop like caseing wraps around the sides of the bus. The bus shown here, from my collection, has windows all the way around and an metal Schuco emblem (see pic) on the right side.     Some buses have windows around the cab only, more like A van. There were Fire trucks, ambulances (Sani), and many different varitions including the battery operated models.     The buses have clear plastic headlight inserts (see front pic) which are often missing. 3044 Varianto Bus Base Plate (Actual Size)
