The 3045 Cabriolet, like most Variantos has three speeds and A fifth wheel which guides it along the Varianto spring like track. The 3045 began production sometime during the 1960's and was made untill the company shut its doors. I have seen only a very few of these in person, I assume thay are one of the more rare Variantos even though thay were the most recently produced, and generaly command A higher price tag. I was unable to talk the collector of these out of one of these beautys but thanks for the pictures John.

All the 3045's I have seen were marked "Made in Western Germany".
