Examico 4001     This is an Pre-War Examico 4001, from my personal collection, shown with its original Box. (Click on the Photo for more pics, 418K)     The Examico 4001 and the Akustico 2002 share the same body style. This car was made as A learning toy I guess. It has A gear shift lever with four forward speeds, reverse, and nutral. And thay all work as A real shifter works. It also has A working hand brake.     The Instructions read almost like that of an actual automobile. This car even has A clutch. And yes the motor runs while the car stands still when the gear shift lever is put in nutral. Handbrake stops the car and the motor. Reverse clicks in and down just like A real automobile shifter.
