VW & Camper VW Kafer mit Wohnwagen 
This is an example of Schuco's new Junor Line. Nice quality and this is my favorite (from my collection). Made in china with rubber wheels and some plastic parts. The body is pressed steel and quite heavy. Doors open, as does the caravan's (camper's) lid. These guys are 1/43 scale making them about the right size for "O" scale Lionel trains but look a little big with most of the Plasticville stuff. The marker lights are painted on as is the window trim. Front and tail lights are plastic lens. Seperate chromed front and rear bumpers, headlight trim and hubcaps. A decal is applied for the rear license plate. Detailing encludes windshield wippers, rear window defroster, rear engine compartment vent and windows in all but the front windows (and wings). The interior is detailed plastic with door inserts. Bottom plate is plastic and is one piece with hitch. The trailer has no chromed parts, all chrome is painted on. Rubber wheels, slightly smaller than the VW. Plastic fenders, hatch supports and inside window detail (windows and curtains). Hitch is one piece with plastic base. This model was quickly followed by the Porsche 356 & Caravan, there trailers (caravans) are the same except for color. Both are offered in K-Line's 2002 Catalog under the K-Line Trademark.
