He has toured many countries as recitalist - Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy, France and Mexico - as well as giving many recitals in the British Isles, notably at the 'Proms', The Royal Festival Hall, the City of London Festival, the Bath Festival, the Chester Festival, the West-Riding Cathedrals' Festival, and many similar occasions. He has given Master Classes in many places including Stockholm and Oslo, and has been 'Headmaster' of the Church Music Seminar in Bergen for some years.

He recently played a Celebrity Recital in St Paul's Cathedral, London, and in the Royal Festival Hall series again. Recordings and interviews have been made with many radio stations including the BBC, East German Radio, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and West German.

As a recording artist he has made over 20 LPs, all of which have received favourable reviews. His debut on the organ was with Polydor (DG Début Series) with Bach and Franck recorded in Munich, but his first recording to be marketed was of harpsichord music, on which instrument he has given many concerts. His Meridian recordings of Vierne's Symphonies have recieved wide acclaim and he has embarked on recordings of the complete organ works of Bach and Liszt.
