 News and Events
Just last month in Paris, on the occasion of the Chausson colloquium, the site's associates interviewed esteemed musician Georges Delvallée.  He spoke with us of Vierne's music and other topics. See our pages on Delvallée (in the Artists/Performers section) for the full interview and other materials.
Dutch organist Christine Kamp is planning a double CD (on the Festivo Amersfoort label), due to appear sometime later this year. To be made at the church of St Sernin in Toulouse, the recording will include the 4th and 5th symphonies, the Triptyque, and the Messe Basse pour les défunts of Vierne.
Pianist Olivier Gardon is back from a four-week tour of Japan in March/April, performing the quintet and other work s of Vierne with the Vierne Quartet (the Pasquier and Chiffoleau brothers).
The Organ Historical Society in the U.S. is preparing a recording devoted to works of master and pupil — Vierne and Dupré — which should appear in the coming months. Details to follow.
