Clarissa "EC" Penland, who was known affectionately as "Big Mom Mom," of Morrisville, Pa.,
died Thursday, December 19, 2002, at St. Mary Medical Center, Middletown Twp., Pa.
Born and raised in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, she lived most of her life in Lower Bucks County.
Her occupation was Mother, and she was very devoted to her children, as well as her two granddaughters.
She was an avid bowler, and belonged to the Sunday Night League at Delmorr Lanes. She also loved golf
, both watching as well as playing.
Daughter of the late Orville and Grace (Mullins) Bartley, she is survived by her husband, Edward Penland;
a son, Robert Louis Muscatell, Jr., of Hamilton, N.J.; a daughter, Becky Bussmann of Levittown, Pa.;
a step-son, Robert Charles Penland, of Feasterville, Pa.; one brother, Charles Bartley, of Philadelphia;
three sisters, Lee Deel, of Bristol, Pa., Gay Wooden, of Morrisville, Pa.,
and Nina Stormant, of Croydon, Pa.; two granddaughters, Samatha and Jessica; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, December 28, 2002,
at 2 p.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, Pa. Interment
in Kentucky will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Saturday
from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in her name be made to the
American Cancer Society, High Point Professional Building, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201,
Chalfont, Pa. 18914.
