John, Bob, Valerie and I make up the Ikes Road Band. John is the real pro
while the rest of us just love making music. When it comes to guitars, we listen to John's advice. I bought the
Ibanez Bass on his advice. I went out and bought a
Fender Stratocaster, and I love it.
John is the guitarist of the bunch. All of the lead guitar and most of the rhythm was played by John. We all wish
we could play the guitar as good as he does.
Bob and Valerie have accoustics, though I've been playing Bob's Penco and Valerie's BC Rico a lot lately. I'm hoping the
practice gets me to the point where I will actually play a little more on future recordings. As it stands now, the only
song that I played a 6 string guitar is
Waltz Across Texas.
Valerie and I have a "Collection" of keyboards. We have a Casio CTK-651, a Casio CTK-691 and a
Yamaha PS2. I've been playing all the keyboard on the recordings, but, I want to get Bob involved more in that.
John and I both have Korg 1600's and Bob is using John's Tascam. They all are great ways to record any music.
I've searched the internet and found the instruments and recording devices that we use, should you want to purchase
and of them.
Having a 5th string sure has made playing progressions a lot easier. I am constantly retuning the
5th string to either B or C depending on what I'm playing.
This is a good device to give a fuller sound to anyone. John and I both have one, and Bob will be getting one soon.
I feel this is a "MUST HAVE" for anyone who does any recording.
