Sportfishing on the JULIA III with Captain Jim Santangelo can be your charter of a lifetime. United States Coast-Guard licensed, we run a professional charter service, and have over 30 years experience in fishing the Mid-Atlantic waters. The JULIA III is available for half-day, full-day, and overnight fishing trips. In addition, we are available for major East Coast Tournaments. The fish pictured below is a 932-pound Tiger Shark, which we landed in the 1995 Ocean City, Maryland Annual White Marlin Open. It not only won the shark category, but we set a new Tournament Record that still stands. We can target any species you like, from bluefish to blue marlin, trolling or chunking, casting or jigging. The JULIA III fishes out of West Palm Beach from November to February, Hatteras Village Marina from March to May, and spends the Summer and early Fall based out of Indian River, Delaware in the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region. From the Hudson Canyon down to Norfolk Canyon, you have a stretch of Gulfstream water which is home to some of the most magnificent fish in the sea, with almost any species imaginable out in the offshore and canyon areas. That includes several members of the tuna family including Bluefin, Yellowfin, Bigeye and true Longfin Albacore. As for the more exotic fish, Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin, and even Swordfish frequent this same area. As seen in the accompanying photo, many members of the Shark family are also in these waters, so if you like sharking, we might see Mako, Thresher, Blue and Tigers in our slick. If your cup of tea is Canyon Tuna fishing... we're available for 24-hour charters once we're up in Indian River, Delaware.
ABOUT THE BOAT

The JULIA IIIis a 31-foot Rampage Express Sportfisherman, equipped with tuna tower, fighting chair, the latest in electronics and safety equipment including radar, loran, and GPS.  Regardless of your fishing expertise level, we are ready with tackle ranging from lightweight spinning rods to 130 Penn Internationals, as well as downriggers.  You can also bring along your favorite rod or lure, and of course, bring your camera or camcorder and we'll do our best to record those exciting moments when it's you against the fish. The JULIA III is powered by brand-new twin turbocharged  diesels, which give us plenty of speed to get to and from the fishing grounds.  We're also fully equipped for the longer overnight canyon trips with a Coast-Guard approved head, as well as other accomodations including bunks, shower and galley.  So you can snooze or sun on the way to and from the fishing grounds.  We have a tuna tower, and it makes an excellent observation platform for photographers as well as being very functional when spotting fish feeding on the surface.  The JULIA III has plenty of range, so canyon fishing is not a problem.  If you need hotel accomodations in the Indian River, Cape May, or Hatteras area, we can help you.  And if you need transportation to or from these areas, I'm sure we can be of assistance in advising you.  I can even take care of food and snacks, just give me a call, and we'll discuss your needs and available openings in our schedule. Incidentally, we are already taking bookings for the Hatteras Winter Bluefin Season

CHARTER EXPENSES - I feel that we are extremely competitive with regard to the other charter boats in the areas we fish in, so take a look at our pricing and compare it to others.
