Be careful of what you ask for and you might just get it! The long awaited update to the web site has finally occurred! For those of you have just discovered Joe's Home Page may be asking "Who the hell is Joe?", I will try an explain. I am Joe and I host this seldom updated web site. I live in Southeastern PA and I am a railfan, model railroader, volunteer firefighter / water rescue instructor and general all around good guy (at least so I think of myself).

Living in southeastern PA, I of course have a lot of Conrail photos that I have been taking since 1978 when I first started in the model railroad / railfan hobby. Now that Conrail is on the verge of dissolving into history, I'm laughing at all those who criticized me for wasting time and film on this despicable railroad! Above is ALCA 8 at Blandon earlier this year. Yes the ditch light was enhanced using using Adobe's Photo Shop. The E44 at right was taken at Princeton Jct. in 1978 using my first camera, a Kodak 110 insta-matic .

I mentioned my volunteer work as a firefighter and water rescue instructor. I have served with the Phoenixville Fire Dept. for 20 years and I have just completed a 4 year term as the Department's Deputy Chief. The Phoenixville Fire Dept. is comprised of 3 fire stations. Phoenix Hose, Hook & Ladder, Friendship Fire Co. and West End Fire Company. My primary interest is with the Department's Diving - Rescue Unit (pictured at left in a local parade), diving and teaching water rescue.

I mentioned teaching water rescue, I am certified by the PA Fish and Boat Commission to teach PA Phase I, II, and 2 modules (In - Water and Line Systems) of Phase III. This also allows me to teach for Chester County's Fire School. I am also a SCUBA diver, having received training from Dive - Rescue International. Our unit also has a surface supplied diving rig using a DSI 18a band mask and an EXO 26 mask. At right is shot of our unit recovering a body from the Schuykill River.

Well enough about me, here are some links to other sites:
