This character is based on one I use(d) in
The Ark RPG. Here's his original bio from over there (Pretty much everything is the same, except
he's a bit more pissed off, his history is different since the end of the Great War,
and he's had this body all along instead of it being a rebuild)
Name: Gatecrasher
Aliases: Smiley
Serial Number: WZ05-96QC7-22
Status: Functional
Transformer Sex: Male
Age: 2.5 million stellar cycles
Faction: Autobot
Affiliation: leader and only member of the Pessimistobots, according to
an old joke.
Rank:
Height: 7 feet
Size: Small
Type: Triple Changer
Alt. Mode: Small attack jet, Hovercycle
Physical Description: At first glance he looks completely unimposing to
larger G1 Transformers, but that's how he likes it. Looks a lot older
than he is, because his design style looks much like that of ancient,
pre-war Autobots. Bronze colored (originally intended to blend into
Cybertronian landscape). Two retractable forearm-mounted automatic
laser pistols, two small (but fairly large relative to him) rocket
launchers, stored on back when not in use- look like antennae when
like this. "Triceps" are enlarged, ending just above elbows with what
appear to be jet-intake valves, but are not. Similar looking devices on
knees. Light blue eyes. Folded down triangular @#%$pit/nosecone like
assemblage on chest. Otherwise a nondescript Autobot, easily
overlooked in a crowd.
Jet mode- Lower legs turn around and retract in, forming rockets,
nosecone predictably folds up over head, but behind it, head retracts,
arms rise and join over head, wings protract from back with rocket
launchers now on ends of wings. A small Cybertronian jet fighter.
Flatter, more angular than 20th century Earth planes. Automatic laser
pistols mounted on lower half of nosecone, rocket launchers on ends
of wings (they actually form the ends), jet-intake like devices on
either side of "cockpit" which is actually just a large headlight.
Hovercycle mode- (from jet mode transformation) arms rotate
downwards, with upper arm now perpendicular to the ground, and
forearm parallel to it, then split out to an angle. Legs do the same.
Wings retract, rocket launchers are now mounted on rear section of
cycle. Handlebars swing out of body from what otherwise was an
ornamental surface detail. "Jet intakes" are actually anti-grav
generators, which keep cycle above ground (up to an altitude of 20
feet, though usually it's about six inches). Propelled by same rockets
as in jet mode.
Personality: A bit standoffish. Distrustful of authority, but follows
orders- mostly. Proud but bitter. A war veteran, he sees the Pax
Cybertronia as little more than a break in the action. Believes eternal
war is simply the fate of the Autobots, a fate he accepts, though
sometimes grudgingly. Has little hope for lasting peace. Tough under
pressure- will take on a full sized Decepticon without flinching, and
has been known to win such encounters surprisingly often. Has a mild
grudge against Maximals- thinks integrating biological components
compromises the purity of Transformers. War is his existence, but he
secretly longs for a more fulfilling life. Usually he tries to satisfy this
by going to a bar.
Specialities: (in decreasing order)Hit and run attacks, infiltrating
behind enemy lines, recon, first strike, front line warfare
Fighting Ability:
STATS
Strength: 4
Speed: 8
Skill: 9
Aim: 9
Discipline:7
Stamina: 8
Intelligence: 6
Fire Power: 7
Weaponry/Special Abilities: Twin retractable forearm mounted laser
pistols. mounted on nose in jet mode, in front of front antigrav
generators in cycle mode.
Twin rocket launchers. Rocket launchers are configured for aim and
distance, rockets are designed to pierce armor but are low yield- will
deal mild to moderate damage to a large Decepticon, disable most
Predicons if hit dead on. Held in hands in robot mode (stored on
back), on wing tips in jet mode, on back section in cycle mode
Gravity generators- used for levitation in hovercycle mode. In jet and
robot mode can generate gravitational force pushing away or pulling
towards him. Typically used as a tractor beam, or for clinging to walls.
Occaisionally used creatively to get out of a tight spot. Outer bottom
end of upper arms and on knees on robt mode, front and bottom in jet
mode, bottom in cycle mode.
Uninteresting sword- Equipped with it only recently, because Maximals
and Predicons seem to like short range weapons. Used rarely, and
then mainly to defend against such weapons. Prefers the sock em in
the face approach. Stored in compartment in upper leg.
Acute vision- Used for telescope vision, enhanced aiming.
History: Created as a regular sized Autobot on Cybertron while
Optimus Prime's crew was in stasis on Earth. Spent the majority of his
life engaged in hit and run attacks on Decepticon facilities. Was an
effective troop, though some old comrades josh him about the time he
tried to reason with Shockwave ("You're a logical being, right? Isn't
continuing this war just a pointless waste of energon? Ouch!"). Was
eager to participate in the post-1985 stage of the Great War, but was
left out of most major battles, much to his disliking. Wasn't quite sure
what to do after the war ended, so he signed up for a security post.
Was critically injured guarding an energon storage facility when rogue
Predicons sabotaged it in 2279. He was kept in stasis lock, only able
to come out for a few cycles each megacycle, until a new body could
be built for him. The Elders wanted him rebuilt as a Maximal, but he
would have none of it. They compromised, and he was rebuilt as a
smaller, more efficient, but still powerful Autobot, that he had a key
role in designing. Was almost happy when the Second Great War
broke out. Is eager to serve, but superiors are somewhat wary of
using him, despite his positive results.
Known Acquaintances: No close friends. Earned a bit of a reputation
for consistantly dealing Starscream humiliating defeats from 2002 to
2005. Few remember this now, besides him and Starscream.
Commander's Notes:
Optimus Prime: I wouldn't put him on Public Relations, but there are
few bots better to have with you in battle
Rodimus Prime: They say he's an ok guy, but as far as I can tell, he's
kinda a jerk. Maybe he's got some sort of a grudge against me.. I
guess he just wasn't a fan of Hot Rod's youthful antics.
Kup: Can't say I blame him. Great guy. Always used to kick
Decepticon keister with em, then knock back a few cold ones.
Optimus Primal: Almost as unpleasant as Rattrap- but also just as
resourceful.
