US Geological National
Mapping Program The Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA)
was created as a result of the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act
of 1980, as amended by the Federal Technology Transfer Act of 1986 (FTTA).
The FTTA made technology transfer the responsibility of all Federal laboratory
scientists and engineers and gave Federal agencies the authority to enter
into CRADA's with the commercial sector.
