LOUISE STOLTZFUS lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she was born and raised. Her family of origin was Old Order Amish, and she spends much of her professional life writing about subjects related to Amish and Mennonite life. Her most recent title is Traces of Wisdom: Amish Women and the Pursuit of Life’s Simple Pleasures (Hyperion, 1998). She is also author of two other Amish-related books and six cookbooks, all published by Good Books 1989-1996. She is a member of Blossom Hill Mennonite Church, Lancaster.
