Much can be said of the Protoss race. From detailed illustrations we can see that the beings of Aiur have thin, emmaciated looking bodies, and without external protection - as all Protoss units possess - they would be almost defenseless. Zealots [see Gateway at far left] are outfitted in power suits, enhanced with cybernetic grafts. Their main weapons are deadly blades of psionic energy, channeled through devices on their forearms. Dragoons are veteran Protoss warriors who have been crippled or mortally wounded in combat. They have been outfitted in large, four legged, walking machines which are capable of firing Phase Disruptors at both air and ground targets. Photon Cannons:

A very common, yet effective [possibly essential], defense is to warp in many Photon Cannons. As detectors, they target any cloaked enemy unit from air or ground. So powerful, there is almost no need for other defenses!
