Southtown-Homebrew's Printing Service is in a  class all by itself
I just received some sample inserts a few days ago from SouthTown-Homebrew and the quality is spectacular! It's hard to believe but these latest printouts surpass their previous efforts.
With a new, more sophisticated printer on their premises and an upgraded selection of paper(acid free, semi gloss stock) it makes absolutely no sense to fire up your inkjet or patronize any other establishment.SAMPLE

Dealing with printshops like a Kinkos or a Staples can be quite unpleasant at times. There are attendants/clerks who will deem your images as inappropriate and refuse your business or if you're lucky they will refer you to one of their poorly maintained, expensive self-serve workstations that will yield you inaccurate results in most cases.
This is a predicament that may prompt you to leave and return to the same establishment during a different workshift in search of that attendant who will accomodate you or travel to a different branch entering with a convincing explanation if need be.
Yes,you will eventually come in contact with a no hassle attendant at Kinko's or Staples who will process your order but even then, their print quality falls short compared to what Southtown-Homebrew delivers.

I have been persistent at trying to locate various physcial illustrations for quite sometime and all of the sudden out nowhere I happen to luck up and acquire two pieces that I had written off as never having a chance at obtaining. NEO Mr.Do! has some minor damage present but nothing Photoshop can't remedy. Maybe I should just write off two books I've been trying to get ahold of for quite sometime now so that they'll turn up unexpected as well.
(10-25)
Nick_TH-Fury's website is down due to what appears to be his subsrciption running out. I am hopeful that this downtime will not be permananet.
(9-19)
This is just a note to self that I will scan an illustration for you guys that I really don't care for. Great game but baaaaaaaaaad front cover imo. I don't beleieve I mentioned this but I now have the POCHI Y NYAA Poster(YAY!) along with some other pieces in my posession however there are like three to four works that continue to escape me.

PULSTAR
You can expect a Pulstar insert created by me in the future. YES,It will happen!

(6-21) I am updating today just to state that I have located a few more pieces of physical art. This physical art is a bit challanged ,meaning that their are some flaws present that render them not as collectable but salvageable to aide in recreating / assembling SHOCKbox covers. This physical art would include the two(2)MVS Kizuna Encounter Flyers and one(1)Aerofighters 3 Flyer (Characters).

Earlier this week I received a request for a Hi-Res scan of that Blazing Star insert. I will not honor this request in order to help protect the the integrity of the authentic AES Blazing Star properties in circulation. I would like to make it clear that I am not accusing the requester of intending to do anything malicious with the Hi-Res Scan,It's just something I am choosing to decline with this particular title given it's rareness and value. When I recreate / assemble a new wave of covers for the SHOCKbox, they will not be identical but resemble their AES counterparts in most cases.

I have more topics to address, add new links, etc. but I'll save that for another time.

BLAZING STAR

There's that rare title above I was able to obtain. I removed the insert from it's AES hardcase for inspection and placed it into a SHOCKbox for safe keeping.A SHOCKbox cover will be in the making for Blazing Star soon as well as others.
I am contemplating on acquiring the prequel of this game but found this may not be necessary as I have a sufficient amount of physical art in my possession to create a very nice cover already.
That's it for now.

(5-18)I am waaay behind on updating and I still need to post photos. I've already mentioned the release of the Super MVS Converter II, now enter
Southtown-Homebrew Specialists
This website is dedicated to promoting arcade related homebrewed projects which would include HIGH QUALITY printouts for THE BOX.The term "High Quality Printouts" is an understatement so I urge you to use their services and see what I mean for yourselves.
Now in physical art gathering news , I was able to score a rare piece but it cost me that leg I mentioned in my last update. I will not mention the title until I have it in my hands. When it arrives, not only will I announce it,I'll provide a photo.
(5-8-06)I think I am going to have to date each update in the future as it makes for a good accurate reference.
Did you know that there is a new MVS-AES converter on the market? It's called the NEO SUPER MVS CONVERTER II and it's a real piece to behold. It works with 100% of the SNK MVS library and I would recommend it to anyone. Pick up one at N-G.COM or ARCADESHOCK,whichever you prefer. I will snap a photo of this one as well and update later today.
I can't seem to locate a few illustrations / artworks that I've been searching for for quite sometime so I'm about to UP THE ANTE on acquiring a few that are within my grasp for an arm and a leg.If I am successful at obtaining them, I will post photos.
Remember the artsets I mentioned in an early update? Everything arrived in great shape and I added a few more since so I will post a photo of that this week.

(APRIL 06)Guess what? I am still working on a couple of illustration acquiring deals,Hardrive space is now available. A full update will come shortly.
I hope to acquire those magazines I mentioned in the text below? Anybody have a NGF,issue no.1 for sale? I've had sort of a "mixed results" couple of weeks since my last update. The bad news is that those magazines I was about to feature have been sucked into a blackhole and it appears that what would rank as one of my greatest finds is just fool's gold.
Anyway, things would pick up a little with me being able to secure the English MVS artsets of Twinkle Star Sprites and Nightmare in the Dark.

My large shipment (two parcels) of magazines continues to be MIA,appoximately 16 business days overdue from the time I should have received them. The sender will be sending me a full refund but I hold out hope that the magazines will arrive eventually. MORE LATER

The CRAZEARCADE archive is NO MORE due to overwhelming bandwidth cost. I just want to sincerely thank C.T.H   for donating the space as long as he did and wish him nothing but the best.
LoopyEddie's archive will pick up the slack and has just about every SHOCKbox cover released onto the internet.Plenty more inserts are planned for release including redos.

KOF '99 has moved up into my top three ranking in the series so It deserves a new ShockBox cover and I already know what Illustration I will be using for the front.

I am still in search of a few illustrations. One that continues to elude me is the Pochi & Nyaa aka Pochinya (Sega Naomi) B2,group shot poster as you can see to your right. That SHOCKbox front cover was created by a fan approximately a year and a half ago but never released to the public.

Open your parcel(s) carefully.Use your hand to gently brace the BOXES in place while clearing away some of the packing materials before  removing them.
