The Event - Military Demonstrations

The Brandywine Creek State Park reenactment, 3 miles north of
Wilmington, DE, is an annual event held over Memorial Day weekend.
It is an effort supported by the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation,
The Fort Delaware Society and Company A of the Second Regiment
Delaware Volunteers (Smyth's Brigade).

The reenactment takes place on the 795 acre grounds of the Park.
There are always two battles held, a tactical, military demonstrations
and civilian activities, including fashion shows, seminars and
a period dance with a period band.

The net proceeds from the event are divided primarily
between the State Parks and the Fort Delaware Society to be used
for the restoration and preservation of Historic Fort Delaware.
Other donations are made to selected preservation efforts.
