For Palestinians Another Challenge For the Wounded

Israel's plan for East Jerusalem Housing is reminder of old wars

This is a critique of an article written by Jeffrey Fleishman which
appeared in the March 1 1997 Philadelphia Inquirer.

In this article the Inquirer chooses to interview Palestinian rioters
who were injured after Arabs attacked and shot and killed Jews because
they opened up a tunnel. The tunnel was harmless but Arabs were incited
with false statements about the tunnel undermining the Al Aksa Mosque.
The tunnel doesn't run under the Mosque.

Why does the Inquirer choose to interview injured Arabs?
Could it be to generate sympathy for them? Why doesn't the Inquirer
ever interview injured Jews? Why doesn't the Inquirer interview the
families of the Israelis killed by the Arabs in the calculated and incited
riots that occurred after the opening of the tunnel? Could it be that
the Philadelphia Inquirer is afraid that such an interview would
generate sympathy for Israel?
